The scope of the society broadly relates to activities concerning research and study on telecommunications including, inter-alia, broadcasting, information technology and space sciences, with special emphasis on rural development. |

b. Research oriented |

c. Educational |

d. Collection, maintenance and dissemination of knowledge and information. |
| |
e. Coordination, promotion and formulation of expert opinion on topical subjects including
radiocommunications, spectrum
management, radio regulations, telecommunication standardization and telecommunication development. |

f. To act as a bridge between the industry and other institutions on the one hand and the government and other regulatory agencies on the other. |
| |
g. To support ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, APT General Assembly and other major ITU and APT meetings and events. |
